English soprano Nicola Corbishley enjoys a varied performing career as a soloist and ensemble singer. She toured the UK as soprano soloist in Theatre Cryptic's acclaimed world premiere staging of David Lang's The Little Match Girl Passion, and recently featured as a soloist in the BBC Radio 4 documentary Bach and his Passion.
Nicola performs as an ensemble soprano with many of the UK's professional groups including the Gabrieli Consort, Dunedin Consort, Choir of the Enlightenment, The English Concert, London Handel Singers, BBC Singers, Eric Whitacre Singers, this work taking her across Europe and beyond to perform in some of the world's most prestigious venues.
Nicola regularly appears as an oratorio soloist across the UK including with the Kingston Choral Society, University of Essex Choir, Temenos Chamber Choir (Kent), Maidstone Choral Union, East Malling Singers, Scottish Chamber Choir in Edinburgh and the City Bach Collective in London. In the recording studio, she has appeared on the soundtracks of many blockbuster movies, including Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget, Hercules, Cinderella, Mulan, Prometheus, Prince of Persia, The Mummy, Arthur Christmas, Shrek; of video games including Guardians of the Galaxy, Fable and RuneScape and as a soloist on the 2018 game release 11:11 Memories Retold.
